One Artwork Reflection
I have seen many beautiful artworks in the museum but one
art has got my attention. It was Dark Valley, Van Diemen’s Land 2008, by Julie Gough. It is a necklace
made of black coal stones, attached with string and hang on animal’s horn. That
artwork has 3 colours; black, white and gold. Julie Gough was one of the artist
that thought of art progress so this artwork is contemporary, when i was
looking at it I just saw the shape of Tasmania Island. Also the necklace reflects
the sadness of the Tasmanian Aboriginal life in 1930 as they suffered lots and
many of them had been killed. The necklace is heavy, in my opinion it is
symbolise as heavy burden lift on shoulder and should be from generation to
others so they new Aboriginal know what happened to their ancestors.

Art Gallery Excursion-summary
Art Gallery of NSW established in 1871, it is
located on Art Gallery Rd, The Domain, Sydney. The Art Gallery museum has
Australian art (traditional- contemporary) which are beautiful also it has a
big collection from around the world. The Gallery is opened to anyone has
interest with Arts and history culture.
Tutini ( Pukumani Grave posts) is one of the
traditional art that I’ve seen in the Art Gallery. It designed by groups of
artists and they were commissioned by the government. Pukumani used in Tiwi
culture, for them it is an important ceremony to honoured their death. In addition, Pukumani is the
second to last ceremony and it is carved and painted grave posts and they put
it around the grave with song and dance as final good bye.
Another traditional art was “Bush Tucker
Dreaming” made by Timmy Payungka Tjapangati in 1971. It is beautiful and colourful art that used
water-colour on paper. That art is from Aboriginal dreaming and I guess it is a
place such as land that has bush or maybe their ancestor village. If we looked
at this artwork we can imagine someone was on the airplane painting that
beautiful paint.
Dark Valley, Van Diemen’s Land 2008. I will not forget that art. It made by Julie
Gough. That artwork is a necklace that has lots of meaning. It made of black
coal stones, attached with string and hang on animal’s horn. This style of art
is contemporary and progress. It has the shape of Tasmania on the map and
explains about the dark situation that Aboriginal people were through in the
1930s. This art reflects the sadness and symbolise for death, as there was myth
about all Aboriginal people died in Tasmania and only survived which was
incorrect.

computing reflection
Hi classmates,
As we know every Friday we have a Computing
class. I enjoy attending class as i learn new things. For example, i've learnt
how to add another account into my Gmail which is very useful if you have more
than one account, also the differences between Cc & Bcc when I’m sending an
Email and how to setup phone code to use it as Gmail password. We discussed some
general information about social sites and how to protect ourselves against
SPAM or Hackers and now I’m working on my Blog so far I’ve uploaded photo, made
new post, added blog list and changed the layout of my blog. I feel happy when i
see my blog is getting better week after week as i’m learning new skills to
improve it.
Computer skills never stop by learning basic things. Everyday i learn something new so i'm looking forward for the next class.
